HIV/AIDS Awareness and the Level of Sexual Risk Behaviors Among Senior High School Students: An Evaluation

Abstract: Purpose: The study primarily aimed to assess the level of Senior High School students’ awareness HIV/AIDS and their sexual risk behaviors in division General Santos City find out if there is a significant relationship between two variables. Research methodology: research combines qualitative quantitative methods explore different phenomena every aspect this timely relevant social issue today- HIV AIDS. statistical measure used test hypothesis were Average Percentage, Mean, Z- test, Pearson Product-moment Correlation. Results: Findings revealed that HIV/ AIDS was Fair for both male female students. Although Very Low, still it posed great threat spreading virus, especially students who are likely indulge risky activities compared Limitations: This limited five (5) mega public secondary schools City. Variables under investigation delimited, focuses only on transmission myth, attitude, facts. On other hand, variables revolved around influence media, peer influence, video content materials, non-self-protection efficacy, substance use.
